Development in the investigation into the murder of former police officer Jacques Bathilde. Son of the nephew of the victim is interviewed by the investigators of the Central CID to the central barracks in mid-day Friday, August 26.
The son is expected to provide details on certain items that occurred in the night between Wednesday and Thursday morning, 25 August, according to our interview.
Jacques Bathilde was found dead Thursday morning August 25 at his home in Mont-Roches. This former police officer of 61 years had his hands and feet tied. Relatives discovered the lifeless body.
His room, upstairs, was upside down. A chest with a large sum of money, about Rs 300,000, was swept away.
Jacques Bathilde was the driver of a former police commissioner.
Jacques Bathilde was alone at the time of the tragedy. His son Pascal, security guard, was on night duty. Home from work, he had collapsed and burst into tears: “I am shocked. My father was liked in the neighborhood. He was very helpful. ”
An autopsy by the forensic scientists Dr. Maxwell Monvoisin and Prem Shaman attributed the death of Jacques Bathilde a “smothering asphyxia.”
The funeral of Jacques Bathilde are scheduled this Sunday, August 28th.
