A successful mission for the Rivière-des-Anguilles Criminal Investigation Division.
During a raid in the region of Camp Diable on Tuesday, the sleuths found 505 cannabis plants. The market value of the plants is estimated at Rs 1.5 million. Moreover, the bloodhounds of the anti-drug squad from the Eastern Division conducted two operations: one in Queen Victoria and the other in the region of St Julien.
With the support of the police helicopter, bloodhounds uprooted 53 cannabis plants measuring between 15 cm and 1m10. Their value is estimated at Rs 159 000. An investigation is underway to identify the growers.
