Thirteen life jackets were found in the boat that capsized in Grande-Rivière-Sud-Est (GRSE) on Wednesday afternoon; drama that killed four people, including two young children.
During the reconstructions of the facts on Friday, 10th of June the police noticed 13 life jackets.
A few jackets were in the hold support of the canoe. As of now, two of the 11 survivors told Radio Plus last Thursday, June 9 that there were no life jackets on board of the boat.
Louis Marie Hayward, the skipper of the boat, told the police that the passengers had refused to wear life jackets.
