In A SouthEast School: Victim Of Mockery, Nikil Does Not Want To Go To School Anymore

Instead of being in class, this 10 years old boy prefers to stay home. This has been the case for two weeks. His mother Panna K. demanded the transfer of his son, the child saying victim of taunts from his teacher.

Their relationship is strained.

According to Panna K., she faced the same problem with the same teacher last year when her son was in Standard IV. She talked to Nikil’s teacher and the situation improved. However, the problem resurfaced this year. Last week, the mother discussed about this issue with the schoolmaster who in turn talked to the teacher.

Desperate and not knowing what to do, the mother asked education authorities to transfer her son to another school. The request was made to the Ministry of Education, in the direction of Zone 3, and at the Office of Catholic Education. Till date, the mother is still waiting for an answer.

Asked for a reaction, the school’s master refrained from any comment. The office of the Zone 3 states that an investigation is under way and will address the request to see if the transfer of the child is essential.

Meanwhile, the mother and the child has to wait for an answer.
